The use of continuous mixing in the construction industry has increased dramatically due to the high level of interest in Roller Compacted Concrete, Cement Treated Base as well as in soil remediation used in the environmental industry. These projects require a continuous mixing system capable of accurate and consistent quality, it must deal with every function in an inherently stable manner. Rapidmix high-intensity, high-output, twin-shaft continuous mixing plants meet and exceed industry and environmental needs.
For thorough mixing, mixer intensities of more than 55 rpm for Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) have been established as being necessary to match field results with laboratory results. For treatment of toxic wastes, a minimum index of 80 rpm is also recommended. Our twin-shaft continuous mixing plants are equipped with a 14 ft. long mixing chamber which boasts 72 Ni-Hard cast paddles rotating at 110 rpm, that's twice that of our closest competitor.
Continuous mixing technology, if correctly applied, can produce results of amazing consistency and productivity. If all factors are not correct, the results can be very poor. Rapid technology is intolerant of compromise upon correct practice. Poor results are usually the accumulation of a number of seemingly small compromises. The best way to be sure is to use a Rapid twin-shaft continuous mixing system which has been designed for efficient and thorough mixing on a continuous basis.
As RCC Pavement Council Members we are committed to sustainably advancing this paving method. While Rapidmix has a variety of uses it was designed specifically for Roller-Compacted Concrete.
